The Client – CK4 & Peterborough United FC
Peterborough United Football Club, known as “The Posh,” is a well-regarded English football club with a rich history and a loyal fanbase. Competing in the English Football League, the club is recognised for its competitive spirit and strong presence across all divisions of the EFL.
The Challenge
The club was planning to launch a new store at their prestigious London Road stadium. The refurbishment was expected to align with the club’s ambition to enhance its brand image and customer experience. To achieve the project, Peterborough United engaged CK4 Commercial Refurbishments.
As part of the project, Peterborough United FC wanted a striking centrepiece to enhance the store’s visual appeal. This centrepiece was to be a 3D representation of the club’s official crest. The club had a strong vision for what they wanted but needed 3D Design and Print expertise to bring the concept to life. CK4 engaged JC3D Design to carry out the project.
The project had tight deadlines, adding further pressure to ensure the final piece met expectations on time.
The Solution
JC3D took a hands-on approach to turn the client’s idea into reality. The process began with hand sketches, allowing for initial refinements before moving into digital modelling. Working closely with the client, JC3D developed a detailed 3D CAD model, making continuous adjustments to ensure every detail of the 3D crest aligned with the vision.
Given the strict deadlines, JC3D maintained clear and open communication with the client throughout. The team meticulously selected the right materials and 3D printing techniques to ensure durability and a high-quality finish.
The Outcome
The final sculpture was delivered on time and installed in the new football shop, instantly becoming a focal point. The client was thrilled with the outcome, and the excitement among the store team and customers reinforced the project’s success.
